Is Global Domains International worth doing?

Is Global Domains International worth doing?  Very simply: NO

If you have already read this page just scroll down to my update below
If not, please read on.

I know that you're eager to get started in your new endeavor as an internet marketer. Perhaps you've been told that "it's easy", that you can do it from your home computer by simply following the latest internet system craze that claims you can make thousands a week. After spending your hard earned money on countless courses and doing what these guys said you should do, you found yourself-- months later-- broke and disillusioned, promising that you'll never fall for another internet scheme again.

But here you are again reading this text and wondering if it's possible to make money online..
Let me tell you that it is possible. Actually you can make lots of money at internet marketing, but not for the reasons you may imagine. Especially if you are a newbie.Just think about it: How can anyone in this business make money if the only way to do it seems to be by selling your information products to everybody else, and everybody else doing the same thing? There just isn't enough market out there for this to be possible. Also this wrongheaded approach leads quickly to saturation and operating off of the wrong premise.

People may be gullible, but not as much as you may think. They eventually realize that there is just too much hype in a market that is over-rated. If they followed you once, they will quickly disappear. To make money online as an internet marketer you must know a few basics. Skipping these basics by listening to the hype is pure folly and a sure way to giving up fast.

You may have a burning question: "Have I (the writer of this page) made any money on line?"The answer is "yes". At first I spent a lot of money learning the ropes and almost gave up. I was going broke doing what everybody else was telling me to do: "Advertise! Advertise!Advertise!" or "Pass off the same crap to somebody else. Who cares if they made money with it or not...after all..I just put this nice little disclaimer on it!"

This kind of "mindset" made me sick. I realized these guys (or girls) were in it just for the money. Most of them don't give you added value. Yes. You do need to spend some money to learn how to do it. But you don't need to spend thousands either. Some free honest advice can often times be more beneficial than any expensive "system" that will just break your heart eventually.

The key to this business is learning what to do and then do it over and over honestly until you can do it proficiently, honestly and profitably. I don't think that you can get there overnight. But it doesn't take a long time either.

How much have I made?: about $200,000 in a year and a half. But not from Global Domains. I'm not even  in the " leader boards". But neither is Kimball Roundy (that's right, the dude from The Spider Web System). I made most of my money by advertising online such as Google, yahoo and others and ranking high for my main business which is hurricane shutters. The rest of the income has come from Adsense and some affiliate marketing. The latter is still in its infancy, but growing.I already have a following for my internet writings. Some of them are in Word Press format, E zines, and others in blogger.com.

I'm not rich yet, but will get there. Maybe being rich is not even my goal. It's nice but not my goal. You see. I don't like telling lies and fill you with hype. Such would eventually catch up to me. My main interest in life is not making money. It's writing. I love doing it. It fills me with purpose. The money inevitably arrives. But it doesn't if I don't add value or write something of value or deliver something of value.

Global Domains International has very little or no value. It's a lazy pyramid scheme that sucks in the innocent or gullible, charges their credit card until you actually take the time to call and cut them off.  You can build your own little website, which allows you to express yourself and sell stuff. It's a crappy site builder, don't even try to practice with it.. But GDI ( Global Domains international) is basically a rip off as most MLM sites are. I had a promising down line. Most fell off because they just like I, didn't know what the hell we were doing! It's that simple. I'm down to one. this is pathetic. Why? I'm pretty sure that I did what I had to do. And I'm fairly capable. But the system really sucks. That is the long and short of it. I had a bunch of banner ads on my sites and blogs and just deleted them. I just don't want to promote a loser proposition.

I started out very enthusiastically and full of promise. Right after I joined, I tried to get help. So I called my up line. He didn't have a clue as to what to do. His up line, in turn was worse. The good thing about this whole thing is that we became friends. He's actually come a long way, but I don't think he's actually making any money to speak of with it. I wrote an article for him called "The blind leading the blind". It's a review of Kimball Roundy, a charlatan, who completely fell of the Leader-boards of Global Domains International. He's now partnered with Mike Filsame, some supposed internet guru and trying to pass off some snake oil.

I stopped paying the web hosting fee every month, which was an annoying 10 bucks. Why did I wait so long?...you may ask. Well,  $300  or so later, I still gave them some credit, after all I didn't really given it all I've got. But after i decided to push it and PUSH I did and got no results,  I decided that enough was enough. I let my capture page just sit there without me nurturing it. Good bye  Global Domains International.

If you still want to get in after my thrashing, here's a few things you need to know:

FTP= File Transfer Protocol.  This is how you transfer information from your computer to your web host by using a special software.  By accident--- I was doing something else on one of my sites-- I asked the tech adviser at Superpages, com and he told me to use Filezilla (you can look it up if you wish on Google). Later I uploaded Kompozer, a free web site builder. I merged both applications and viola! I was able to get web hosting (with GDI) for $10, a free website builder that is quite decent and FTP software that is free and actually works!

Make the time to fool around with GDI....and hopefully get results.
I posted this so that I can spare you all that grief and aggravation that comes with too high or too low expectations.

To your success,

Carlos, The fighter

Update March 15, 2010

I regret to inform you that I just canceled my account for Global Domains International. After dumping $1,500 into this loser proposition I decided enough is enough. All of my down line was not making money and simply quit. My up line just didn't work out either. This effectively dis associates me from me from WS Sites, Global Domains International. It just too much work for too little or no return!
Disregard my update for February 10, 2010.

Thank you,

Carlos
